Personal Information
I love to read and write, and to challenge myself. I believe it is vital to take a deep breath and find things to be thankful for, even if it requires some soul searching. Just when we want to hide and stay in bed that is the time to get out and try something new – breathe in some fresh air. Keeping things in perspective is vital to a healthy existence both physically and mentally.

Specialties & Issues
My experience and education includes a wide range of work environments, and industrial organizational (I/O) psychology, is a specialty area. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or an eclectic, more tailored approach we can work together to reframe your thoughts to help you more successfully evaluate and maneuver daily life challenges in any area, whether home life, vocational, or educational. A full evaluation of the self/others/environment relationship dynamic can greatly assist in improving your daily quality of life. We can evaluate the best approach for you, whether it be traditional mental health counseling or more educational, coaching or consultative services.

Approach
While I have a strong background in cognitive behavioral therapy, I believe that the counseling approach should be tailored to best meet your needs. If family issues encompass your main area of concern, then we might utilize a family systems approach. An eclectic approach may also best suit your needs. Again, it depends upon your needs and what makes the most sense with the highest likelihood of meeting your counseling needs. If you are seeking coaching, we will examine the various environments that you live and work in and make a plan to help you achieve your goals. Counseling handles issues related to mental health, and coaching is geared more towards setting personal goals and allows the coach to be more interactive. If you have mental health needs, coaching can be a supplement but should not replace counseling. Also, while one can utilize some positive methodologies in counseling and coaching, I can be your counselor or your coach, but not both. While online counseling may not be appropriate for some situations, we can examine that to ensure that you are getting the most appropriate attention. -
