I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of California. I help people overcome anxiety, depression, and trauma so they can find emotional freedom to live their life without limits. One of the things I am most passionate about is helping people grab a hold of their dreams that they want to do and take action! I have had adventure like traveling the world and living abroad locked inside of me until I wanted to burst. I have the personal experience, perspective and insight I gained from unlocking my dreams. My passion is helping people accomplish their adventure and dream and watching them wake up everyday with joy and zero regrets. I have worked for years with people to unlock their dreams and take action to move forward. Helping people work through what holds them back is my primary focus and my passion.
I have two licenses in the State of California. Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 46430) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPC820).
Specialties & Issues
There are so many different types of situations or experiences that can create a need for therapy. You could be stressed and are having difficulty at work, you might realize that you have been feeling more “down” than usual, perhaps you are struggling with a difficult adjustment at home, maybe your child is acting out and you aren't sure how to deal with it, a breakup, a move, or you might want to improve your marriage and your friendships. Therapy gives you the tools you need to process trauma, learn how to manage stress, build skills to form closer relationships with family and friends, and manage your feelings. Therapy is usually a longer term (although it can be short term), deeper process. It can involve looking at the past in order to repair the present and move into the future.
I have experience successfully helping people feel less depressed or anxious, build their parenting skills with strong willed children, get through difficult life changes, improve their relationship with their partner or friends, and create a less stressful environment for themselves. I work individually with adults and with couples. I also work with the whole family. I am trained in several research-based treatments for trauma, anxiety, depression, and parenting.
Trained Treatment Approaches
I have been trained and have a certificate for continuing education units in each of these treatment approaches.
Gottman Couples Therapy Level 1
Gottman Couples Therapy is a research-based approach to creating stronger relationships. This approach can give couples new insight into their struggles using research-based assessments and effective interventions.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a research-based treatment that has been designated as an effective treatment for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and other associated symptoms. It can also be used for treating anxiety, grief, eating disorders, and performance enhancement.
The three Ps in ‘Triple P’ stands for ‘Positive Parenting Program’. Triple P helps you understand how your family works so you can use the things you already think, feel, say and do in new ways.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
PCIT is a research-based treatment consisting of two components: Parent-child relationship enhancement and Behavior management.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Therapy to work with clients. What does that mean? It means that I help people recognize the patterns of their past, how their families have influenced them, and create insight and change. I also help them recognize their thought patterns and create new thoughts. Thoughts that will help them move forward to reach their goals and out of the stuck place they are struggling (anxiety, depression, trauma, etc.).
Services & Rates
I offer a free 15 minute consultation to all new clients. This gives you an opportunity to ask questions and see the process. This is also to see if we are a good fit for each other (not every therapist fits with every client) and to see which type of sessions would work best for you (30 minute, 50 minute, or life coaching). Sometimes online therapy is not best for everyone. In that case, I would provide you a referral for an in office therapist in your area.
