My therapy approach is simple - I work as a partner with you as the client to help achieve your goals. Whatever your goals are, I can assist you in making your ideas a reality! I have over 20 years combined experience in community case management, education, and 7 years in a face to face phyical location private counseling practice. I am beginning my online teletherapy practice not just in response to Covid-19, but also as a way to help people who otherwise may not be able to get the help of a therapist.
I am married and have 4 children. My biological son is 17 and has severe autism, and I have 3 bonus children ages 34 to 39 and 4 beautiful grandchildren. My youngest stepdaughter and my son live with my husband and I and our 5 cats in Texas. I am crafty and enjoy making things, scrapbooking, gardening, and love my yoga practice.
I graduated with my BS in Psychology from Lamar University in 1997 and I completed my MA in Professional COunseling in 2002 from Lindenwood University. I am licensed in Texas only (my state license number is TX LPC 70287) and can serve only Texas area residents.
I worked as a case manager for 10 years with adults with mental illness, an elementary educator for several years, and had a physically located private therapy practice in Texas for 7 years prior to doing teletherapy. I have experience working with children ages 3 and up, adolecense, teens, adults, and the elderly.
