At Sanctuary Christian Counseling, we help grieving individuals, distressed teens and couples in conflict find peace, solutions and connection. We are passionate about helping you be the best you can be, and we excel in marriage and family therapy, including Gottman Method Couples Therapy, individual and family therapy, sex and sexual addiction therapy, premarital counseling, and therapy for teens/kids. We are here to help you find hope and tools to build the marriage you want, or to work with you to make peace with your past, understand current challenges, anxieties or depression, move through grief and learn to live in peace.
Ellen brings over 15 years of therapy experience to the session, and is also passionate about her husband of 41 years, Pete, and their sons, Nick and Mike. She is a devout Christian believer, an avid reader and book lover, and a devoted servant of Griffin and Quinn, her two English setter dogs.
Ellen is currently licensed in the state of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is BC-TMH (Board Certified in Telementalhealth) and has completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy trainings 1, 2 and 3. She is a Christian sex therapist through ABCST. She is also an approved AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists) supervisor.
Specialties & Issues
We love seeing couples thrive, individuals find peace and all our clients deepen their connection with God, others and the world. We are specialists in grief, in relational therapy, in faith-based solutions and directions, and in helping teens and parents work together.
At Sanctuary Christian Counseling, our approach is client-driven, and we employ many modalities to help our clients acheive their goals, Each of us is integrative in our approach, especially employing cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic and systemic therapies as well as brief therapy interventions. We bring a Christian worldview to all we do, although we can also work with those who do not want an overtly Christian therapeutic influence.
