I have been a licensed psychologist for over 20 years. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to walk beside clients as they seek greater self-understanding.

Personal Information
I grew up in the Midwest but have moved around the country for various opportunities. I am currently living in Flagstaff, Arizona with my spouse and our four-legged companions. My favorite pastime is exploring new places, whether that is through hiking, visiting our beautiful national parks, checking out quirky museums or taking fun road trips. I am lucky to crew for a hot air balloon team out of Albuquerque and many weekends find me up before dawn to help launch and chase our pilot in the balloon.
Qualifications
I have a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. I have been a licensed psychologist in a number of states since 1995 but am currently licensed in Arizona. -
Specialties & Issues
If you want to understand the influences and patterns that have led you to where you are, and make changes to get you to who and how you want to BE, let’s talk about it in a free thirty-minute consultation to find out how we can do exactly that. I help people work through difficult transitions—whether it is coming out to friends and family, transgender individuals, students adjusting to the rigors of college life, or people with relationship challenges. I especially enjoy working with therapists and therapists-in-training as they find their way as a therapist. I do this in the comfort of your home or space by providing online only secure psychotherapy. It’s like Skype, but secure and confidential.
I work with clients throughout the state of Arizona and internationally. Expats living abroad find online psychotherapy in their native language particularly helpful. If you’d like to find out if I can help you in your current country, give me a call.
Choosing a therapist can be the hardest part of therapy. I’m happy to help you figure it out, whether you choose me or someone else. Let’s find some time to talk.

Approach
I know it takes courage to acknowledge that things in your life are not going the way you would like them to and to ask for help. My job is to help make the process easier by building a strong and safe therapeutic relationship so we can expand on your strengths, explore your vulnerabilities, and grow from your challenges. You’ll find that I’m direct, honest and compassionate and can adapt to your specific needs rather than applying a “one size fits all” model of therapy. -
