I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, currently able to serve clients in the state of Kansas. I am working toward my advanced clinical level of licensure, under the supervision of April Penick, LCPC, KS License #2570.
My previous experience includes working with women and families experiencing domestic violence and dysfunction. I graduated from Avila University with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology from Washburn University.
Specialties & Issues
I provide mental health counseling in the state of Kansas to adult (age 18+) mothers who face a wide variety of challenges, including anxiety, stress & burnout, and depression, while juggling their busy schedules, households, family, careers, and life transitions. I offer secure online video sessions that can be done from home or other location that is convenient for my client.
Working together, we will reach a place where you can better understand yourself and your reality as a mom, no matter what stage of motherhood you are experiencing. My goal is to make you feel supported, to help you see your world through a new lens, and to allow you to rediscover yourself outside of being a mother. I will teach you to connect with your family and your environment in a healthier way, while also helping you see that making time for yourself is important and OK! I will show you that there IS a light at the end of the tunnel, and I will guide you through this trying time in your life in a way that makes you feel calmer, happier, and more fulfilled as a person AND as a mother. It can be liberating just to ask for help from a counselor- I encourage you to place as much value on yourself as you do the others in your life and take this first step.
