Personal Information
I am a mom, teacher, caregiver, artist and counselor for mental health wellness utializing art therapy and a CBT approach; I also offer breastfeeding support for families.
I enjoy the North Carolina beaches, our Golden Doodle Bo, walking in nature, cooking, reading, and playing with my daughter.
Qualifications
I am independently Licensed in the State of North Carolina as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have been licensed in NC since 2017. I have been professionally licensed in the mental health field since 2013.
I completed undergraduate studies in Art Education and Metal Design from East Carolina University in 2006. I have taught in schools and art museums.
In 2012 I completed my Graduate studies in Counseling and Art Therapy from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Since then, I have professional experience as a mental health art therapist in a community mental health medical clinic, clinical counselor at a crisis treatment facility, counselor and advisor in schools.

I work with clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, adjustments to changes in life phases, divorce, single parenthood, bipolar disorders, personality conflicts, and among others as well.
I enjoy the creative process and encourage clients to be creative in session and in life. I believe and have experience with art and creativity being a vehicle for healing, wellness and mental health.
