Thank you for considering to work with me. Please take a look through my profile and if you would like, schedule a 10-15 minute free consultation session to determine if we would work well together.
My goal is to provide quality services to those who are faced with challenges in their lives and are seeking assistance in effectively managing these challenges. Everyone's journey is different and I am privileged to be able to embark on this journey with you.
I have been working as a therapist in the mental health field since 2008, after leaving the middle management sector. Prior to this, I served in the military; 12 years in the Army Reserves with one deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom/ Operation Enduring Freedom 1. In 2004, I exited the my military service to complete my Master's degree in Social Work.
I currently reside in New York, though soon my family and I will be moving to Florida. This is very exciting and nerve-racking all at the same time. When not working, I enjoy many outdoor activities including running, hiking, water, and spending quality time with my family and 2 wonderful German Shepherd Dogs, Panzer and Sherman.
I received my Masters of Social Work degree from State University of New York at Albany in 2005, became licensed in the State of NY in 2006. I began my therapist journey in 2008, working for the state of NY for the Office of Mental Health, working in an outpatient mental health clinic. In 2017, I made the choice to become more independent and obtained my clinical license for social work. I hold many certifications in various treatment modalities including, but not limited to EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and MI (Motivational Interviewing. I currently hold a license to practice social work in New York State, and Florida.
