iTherapy was founded as a consequence of a need. Upon graduating with a clinical psychology degree and obtaining her license, co-founder Carol Pulley discovered there were many facets to opening a psychology practice. There were many questions to be answered, items to be researched and services and procedures to be implemented. It seemed overwhelming! After many days and weeks of research, she found the services she needed and her practice was formed.
Interacting with other mental health professionals, Carol recognized her challenges in starting her practice were not unique. She saw there was a need across the industry; assisting providers with the business end of their business so they could do what they do best, help others. Many struggled with these issues and even prevented them from entering private practice. Thus, became the slogan, Helping People Who Help People!
With the help of her partner, Forrest Pulley, and others, iTherapy began to develop. Research was done to determine what providers needed and wanted. Further research was done to best determine how to fill those needs. Options were reviewed, tested and trialed. Business processes were developed. This was all formed with one goal in mind; make it simpler and easier for providers to operate their practice. Thus, became the slogan, Simple & Affordable!
iTherapy has been operating for over three years providing services and assistance to many mental health professionals. Our goal is to be there every step of the way to support professionals so they can concentrate on helping those they serve.
